Aumni Walk (2006)

The last school on this side was located on what is now the Alumni Walk and Alumni Garden areas. To commemorate this history, a brick pedestrian path has been dedicated to any alumnus, educator, administrator or employee of the school system. Commemorative bricks may be purchased in honor of those listed above.

Aumni Garden (2006)

Ornamental trees are planted along the north side of the Alumni Walk. Native and exotic shrubs will be labeled and grouped by species in the northeast corner of the garden. New cultivars selected for improved characteristics such as fall color, good fruit display, and disease resistance will be highlighted.

Native viburnums, dogwoods, hazelnuts, chokeberries and elderberries grow along the north side of the walk while non-native shrubs such as cotoneaster, forsythia, hydrangeas and spirea are planted on the south side.

Alumni of the old Central High School may wish to purchase trees and shrubs as memorials for family or friends.
