The opening for the Moon Gate is created by rough, stone retaining walls and framew the view from the Theatre Steps across the Ceremonial Garden Lawn. The gate design is consistent with the liet (repeating) motif of circles in this feature and forms a wonderful backdrop for summer perfomances. The intricate, circular steps flow down to the Ceremonial Lawn and rise up to the Alumni and Wedding Walks. A signature piece of the Garden, this will be one of the most photographed features in North Iowa.
