Making the Dream a Reality

With 2 successful years of programming behind us and the 2003 year of events, educational programs, projects and activities begun, we are turning our primary focus to raising money for the building and endowment of the garden. A master plan will direct development and facilitate private and public fund raising. Fiscal plans are to use private and foundation money to build and maintain the garden and to spend only as we can pay.

An annual membership drive began in July 2001 to support event and education programming. Memberships not only show support for Central Gardens, they ensure the realization of our commitments: to excellence, beauty, education, horticultural knowledge and building the garden.

Our Mission: To create an intergenerational garden environment for the 21st century that is beautiful, safe and secure, calm and reflective, educational and recreational - a setting that tells the story of our changing seasons, our pride in our past, the uniqueness of our present, and the hope of our future.

The dream is becoming a reality. We look forward to your involvement and enjoyment of these gardens. There is work to be done-- fun to be had-- and lots to be learned.

Come grow with us!
